Forgotten (2017 MOVIE) Full Story

 Forgotten Movie

Jin-Seok is a college student who just moved into a new house with his parents and older brother. Jin Seok suffers from hypersensitivity, but he can live normally with medication. One rainy evening, Jin Seok saw his older brother being dumped in a truck by a group of men.

After 19 days of silence, Yoo-Seok returns home, but he doesn't remember anything from his disappearance, although Jin Seok notices enough changes in his older brother's personality and behavior that he begins to suspect that the one who has returned isn't Yoo-Seok. Is this the real Yoo-Seok or a lookalike? Meanwhile, Jin-Seok continues to hear voices from a locked room temporarily storing the belongings of the former homeowner, when his kidnapped brother returns, a different man who apparently does not remember the past 19 days. Jin-Seok pursues the truth behind the kidnapping.
While watching you may want to know that Forgotten is a psychological thriller/sci-fi/horror movie that actually happened/south Korean murder mystery, this may sound confusing, but it covers all genres that play a role in this scary and violent movie frequently, changing perspectives Changing the information changes the audience's understanding of who is a good man and who is bad. The film is in Korean.

As the story progresses, you'll be sure that it's not from a movie inspired by a true story, because it will be revealed that his family isn't really his family, and also that 21-year-old upcoming college student Jin Seok is 41-years-old Jin Seok who is a killer.

Who would have thought that this would turn into a thriller when it conveys the feelings of a horror movie as Jin Seok is drawn more and more to the door where the murder took place, he is put under hypnosis by a group of people who died solving the crime 20 years ago.
Why was hypnosis used? The killing was a traumatic experience for Jin Seok, which is why his brain, as a coping mechanism, erases this memory to forget his crime. By Yoo Seok.

Sad to say but Jin Seok threw his morals and humanity out the window to save someone he loves, the same goes for Yoo Seok and his team of detectives and accomplices because they torture and harass Jin Seok to get the truth out of him.

As the story progresses, more details about the crime and the relationship between the characters are revealed, you'll probably agree with me that apart from the murdered family members - Jin Seok and Yoo Seok are also victims in this, they were the victims of status, order and the actions of others that will greatly affect their lives.

In the end, there are still some unanswered questions, for example, why didn't Jin Seok kill the boy? First of all, he had no intention of killing anyone that night, things got out of hand, secondly, he really believed that the boy would be fine and that he had someone to take care of him. At the time, Jin-Seok didn't know that he would also end up killing the boy's father.

The second question would be: Why did Jin Seok lie about the strike? The one who asked for the beating (the doctor) is already dead, so what's the point of dragging his name into the mud? In addition, Jin-Seok is a sympathetic person, who believed that if he took all the blame for the murders, he would be able to save the young man from the ugly truth: that his father wanted his mother dead, Jin-Seok wanted the young man to keep a good image of his late father So that the memories of his happy family remain untainted.

And the last question is: Why did the two eventually commit suicide?

First, Jin Seok was able to live a life free of guilt because he prevented bad memories, however, once he realized what he had done, he couldn't live with himself anymore, the man had a conscience and was really sad about what he had done.

The damage caused by that fateful night extended not only to the people who died but also to the little boy who died, the child of his entire family was lost due to a break-in/injury accident, Jin-Seok saved the boy's life because he didn't want to hurt more people and ironically, Leaving the child alive Leaving Jin Seok also in this predicament, the young man was able to identify Jin Seok as the killer since he was the only one who saw the killer's face (other than his late mother and sister).
Now, why did the young man commit suicide himself? Unlike Jin Seok, he wasn't able to erase the bad memories he didn't want, besides, it must have been frustrating to hear that his father was behind his mother's death, in general, the young man lived a very difficult life, first, losing his family, second, Relatives intervene and take the money, then send him to an orphanage, it's too bad, it seems that the guy can not get some rest.

After obtaining a confession from Jin Seok, the young man achieves his personal goal in life: to find the person who killed his mother and sister, now that he knows who did it, there is not much left for him to do, on a more symbolic level, his death can also be interpreted as the end of a cycle: He will become his lover again, hence he smiled during his last breath.
