We return to Edward, who collected all his money so that he could enter the university and study accounting to graduate and work as an accountant in a company as a monotonous job.

Since he is an introverted person, his only pleasure was solving puzzles, but he developed in that and became making his own puzzles.

After completing college studies and now in his late twenties, Bruce decides to return to Gotham, as he does not imagine himself living in another place, but at the same time he decides to move away from running a company and where and prefers to spend his time practicing his hobbies and trying to help Gotham

During Bruce's journey to help Gotham one day, as he walks, he hears a call for help only to find an old woman who is being robbed.

Returning to Batman, who begins to do the rounds in his new suit, one day he finds a thief trying to rob Batman's jewelry store.

Batman is tracking an explosive with a policewoman named Janice Dior (there is no mention of Gordon in the novel)

He discovers that his teenage friend Deeks, whom he met at street races, is the one who distributes these explosives

After talking to her, she tells him that she is forced to do so by a person named Porcello (who works for Penguin, who in turn works for Carmine Falcone) because he framed her father and promised her that if she worked for him, he would acquit her father. Batman promises her that he will acquit her father and arrest Porcello

Indeed, Batman exonerates her father and releases him from prison, after which Dex thanks Batman and tells him that she will move to Metropolis to work at Lex Corp and start a new life there (and thus officially confirmed the presence of Lex Luthor in the world of The Batman movie)

On the other hand, this explosive sale was from Penguin's planning to make his personal fortune and get out of Falcon's shadow, but after the arrests that took place, Carmine Falcone goes to settle his accounts with Borcio and Penguin, making him bear the whole issue and get himself out.

Here ends the story of the novel, The Batman, but we jump two years, and the writer tells us that Batman gave the Gotham Police a Bat sign and wrote on it
